100 interviews with people in New York City. That was the goal. I'd just moved to the city and was looking for work, but also direction. I decided to use the age-old strategy of meeting my neighbors and the modern leverage of making it a podcast. I talked to people at train stations, on stoops, benches, and couches in all five boroughs. I walked 180 miles looking for these interviews. That's the length of Manhattan, thirteen times over. Every person got the same three questions:

  1. What's your story? (hence Sonder)
  2. What problem in the world means the most to you?
  3. Who's the most impressive person you've ever met, and what made them impressive to you?

Below is the report of the patterns, and each interview.
